It seems to be fashionable on this site and many others to bash every new release of Windows. I can only speak for myself and my family and friends but, not one of us has ever experienced a single adverse result from upgrading from one version to another. Ever. Not one patch or update has resulted in a single adverse issue with any PC we have owned.
Granted, we do not keep our PC’s for a decade or more. We all regularly upgrade to new PC’s about every 3-4 years.
I have never had a problem either. They must be doing something wrong.
Me neither, well, maybe since Windows XP and excluding OS changes like "Metro," while upgrading to new PC’s about every 3-4 years certainly helps. As does customization. As shown in post 4, I replace the Windows start menu with Open Shell, and the clock, and create my own Quick launch menu folder (the default is buried in %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch), and have my own drive and folders for Music, Documents, Pictures, while turning off Cortana, Windows Search, Xbox, etc.
Roflol. Shill much?
How did that Windows me work for ya?
Same here. My rule-of-thumb was always to assume double the recommended memory & storage requirements. I did that and never a problem.
