Along those lines, I once read an article where the author said that the great victory the United States won in 1945 essentially ruined our thinking. We were now invincible, and capable of achieving any goal. No more restraints for us!

America is not God. Our nation was not created to solve the world’s problems. Leading a coalition of any type, or going it alone in Haiti, will be a long term disaster both for Haiti and America.

Meaningful, long lasting change must come from within, not from without.

In its entire post colonial history, Haiti has only had *one* responsible government. It was the U.S. Marine Corps.
