Makes one wonder doesn’t it. You can buy Mullein leaf in capsule or leaf form. It grows wild here in Ohio and is considered a weed. The tea I made was extremely hot. The vapors I breathed was what worked and the tea cleared my upper airway and esophagus. Think about it. Why would you take a thick cough syrup with a drying agent included and expect results. Common sense would suggest you want to make the phlegm more liquid, not the inverse.

‘Drying’ doesn’t make sense. The decongestants I’ve used in the past always talked about ‘thinning’ secretions and those work. :/
