Danny Smith (Source: Vickie Wilbanks) OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An 8-year-old and a 9-year-old boy have been charged with killing a man who was shot with a rifle while cutting down brush in a South Carolina field, authorities said.
Both boys shot at Danny Andrew Smith with a rifle as he rode his tractor in the field near Westminster on June 23, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw said in a statement.
Deputies responded to Coffee Road last week after a missing man’s wife was looking for her husband after not being able to make contact with him.

I have some knowledge about the area and honestly the boys are likely to be white rather than black or Latino, not that it matters. It sounds like two kids out plinking varmits made a stupid but tragic mistake.
Except that this happened in SC, there is zero basis for any racist speculation. Unsupervised, rotten little devils have always come in all colors.

Not surprising at all. In 2019, I believe it was, I read about a 17 year old boy in Port Richy, I think. It was Pasco County, Florida. He was driving on a road there and he came up on a man walking. He told the Trooper investigating the incident that as he came up behind him, “I wondered how it would feel to kill someone, so I ran over him.” People have went crazy.

Or it could have been that they snored too loud in their sleep. But the truth is they killed him because they wanted to kill someone.
