Thank you all for the tips, encouragement and prayer. Downsizing is a good thing but not an easy thing.
I’m out of the old house but have dragged way too much of it to the new. Just glad it’s done and I can take my time sorting through the mess in the garage.
It’s a funny thing. Everyone kept asking me if I was sentimental about leaving the home where I raised my kids. I always hated that house. It was my husband’s before we married. I am glad to be gone from it but when I loaded
the last of the stuff, I sat in my car and thanked God for that home.
I thanked Him for the warmth and protection and the safety my kids had in that home. I thanked Him for all the happy times we had there and the memories I’m taking with me.
And then I prayed for the family that will live there next and hoped they experience the love we had there.
And then I burst into tears. I never would have thought that would happen. So I guess I am a little sentimental about it❤
