As a county TxGOP board member, I've been aware of Col. West's TxGovernor plans for a while now. Hate to lose him as TxGOP Chair at this time, but enough folks are PO'd at Abbot to make this the time to put the Governorship in Patriot hands...

At minimum, Governor Abbot needs this strong kick in his tires for not battling from the get-go against that nasty GRID CABAL ever contracting TEXAS to a critical weather crisis with these Chinese wind flappers.
Alan West is no wilting violet. If he is as smart as he thinks he is, he will address that deadly 10 +plus days and set a course for Texas oil & gas to end reliance on the horse and buggy era of the windmill method. LOTS of votes there.
As IF those damned things things could carry Texas through a freak temperature event! Unforgettable. Maybe, UNforgivable. People died COLD, sitting on an ocean of TX oil and gas energy.
