Nice angle of view. Watch as the rider just left of the initial crashing bike “leans into” the adjacent cyclist. Then, he continues on. The sign and the leaning cyclist meant “DOOM” for Mr. Spindly.
Size does count....
The leaner contributed to the crash. The lean was a way to narrow the field of competitors. Wonder who he was and if the race staff is looking at what appears to be a deliberate foul.
