The audit took a couple hundred people over a month to complete the vote counts and high resolution paper ballot imaging. That phase just wrapped up.
I don't know if the imaginging updated the legitimate / fraud ballot counts realtime, if it will have to be done post-audit, etc. There was a 5 minute video a day or two ago of a gent knows all the ins and outs of printed ballot security. One thing he said was that there were 667 different ballots in the 2020 Maricopa county general election.
Think about it. You live in a neighborhood that has a certain US rep, a certain state rep, different judicial districts, different mayor, school board races, etc. Each of the individual races create many unique voting geographies.
All of those different ballots have to be examined and the wheat separated from the chaff. There might be one thousand legitimate ballots printed for your local area but what if two thousand ballots were recieved for your area? That has to be documented error-free for the audit to stand up to scrutiny.
Regardless, the administrators of the audit said from the start that it would be around the end of July or early August when the results will be published.
Patience is called for now.
If Republicans are doing it in almost all cases I have limited confidence or trust in them.
Trump I trust to be a bit more aggressive and I have more confidence in him than 99 percent of Republicans even the one’s Trump endorses.
Trump isn’t perfect either but he’s a cut above the Republican Party and its political machine.
