Yes, my 7 year old grandson just brought along enough food to graze during the entire flight he was on. Hamburger and fries, chicken tenders and snacks. His idea. LOL
Your grandson is very smart! I have a number of methods and that’s certainly one of them. I won’t reveal them all here in case your DIL is a reader of our wonderful thread. I made sure I didn’t eat all day until my flight and then I slowly ate so many of those cheese-like goldfish crackers that I got a bad case of acid indigestion after we landed. (Is that even real food?) I thought I was going to have to induce vomiting to end the cracker redux after that 4 hour flight. I learned my lesson and didn’t fly non-stop again. The women who might throw me off get pretty busy serving beverages and snacks to pay much attention to me on the shorter flips.
I also fly Southwest when I can so I can choose my seatmate and then try to choose someone wearing their mask haphazardly or fiddling with it, suggesting they’re also uncomfortable. They’re less likely to complain if I have the mask off too long. Other means of unobstructed breathing shall remain private (*wink*).
