I don’t think that’s true.
If it were, every president would always have that hanging over their heads, that if enough states decertified to drop you below 270 and the House has to act.
Being just barely over 270, or at 270 would essentially give every state impeachment authority.
What it will do is create a CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS:

Uncharted, choppy, muddy waters.
If electoral votes are decertified and not re-certified, do they count?
If not, then the need for 270 would be reduced.
AZ has 11. Decert would leave 264 needed.
