I noticed in the ios App Store while getting the Telegram App that a
related popular App seems to be one that you can pay a few bucks for
a burner phone number that can be used as the phone number to register
things like Telegram with.

Hmm, so a few bucks for a burner phone but one has to go someplace to buy the burner phone. That means driving at least 35 miles for me.
