This is something I cannot source so it is my opinion...
Evil HAS to state/announce what they are going to do.
Why? Because God gave us ‘free will’. It is our choice. We choose either good or evil. This is an individual choice. We all know in our heart when we make that choice.

I choose God. God guides me, even when I fail him. With that said, I would agree, we are in the ‘matrix’ (we are watching a movie).
The only difference is... do you take the Red pill or the Blue pill? Interesting that those are the two color choices...
