Maybe it doesn’t apply here, but I see something akin to porn or a 10 car pile-up on the interstate - where is seems like there are gapers who get a perverse kick out of seeing the blood and guts.
There are actually people who watch porn and justify it by saying “we have to watch it so we are aware of what our kids might be exposed to”. Yes you have to be aware it’s happening - but you don’t have to watch it.
Someone posted a video yesterday of a resident of Pennsbury school district (Bucks County, PA). It was wonderful and inspiring the way this guy stood up to the school board.
Maybe it’s a matter of taste, but that’s the kind of thing I want to see more of on FR - heroes speaking the truth. It’s too rare, but maybe if people see more videos like that, the behavior would be contagious.

Sounds like she has a much bigger goal of being idolized by her students than in teaching them what they might need to know, to succeed in this world.
