My daughter and son-in-law used to laugh at me (affectionately) about Natalie being raised in a box. Very sheltered. No dating until 18. No tv that I didn’t approve of, no books I didn’t like, etc. Matt (son-in-law) used to poke fun at her a bit, but, funny thing is, he wound up falling in love at only 17 with the Boxed Girl and marrying her at 21 years of age. They have 3 kids now WHO ARE MORE BOXED AND PROTECTED THAN MY KIDS WERE! Lol - they get it now.
We always think about our kids first.
“WHO ARE MORE BOXED AND PROTECTED THAN MY KIDS WERE!”
That’s great how they appreciate it later. And times are so much worse now, I can’t believe some of the stuff on TV that any child could see just by clicking it on. I wish all parents would be so watchful.
