A letter from the former Pennsylvania U.S. Attorney William McSwain to President Trump has been made public recently & it confirms that AG Bill Barr instructed McSwain to ignore claims of voter fraud AND to pass “serious allegations” over to the DEMOCRAT state AG.

According to
@jonkarl
‘s recent interview with Bill Barr: “Publicly, McConnell had said nothing to criticize Trump’s allegations [of voter fraud] but he told Barr that Trump’s claims were damaging to the country & to the Republican Party.”

Just in: A Texas senate aide tells me that a number of Texas Democratic senators have also left for Washington, but not enough to break a quorum in the senate.

A Republican Texas senate aide says that a quorum is expected and that they will likely take up SB1 today.

Of course, even if the Senate passes SB1, without a quorum in the House, the bill will die in the special session.

But Abbott promised to call “special session after special session after special session” to get an election bill done. And a redistricting special session looms.

Texas senate convened this morning, with
@DanPatrick
greeting the body: “Members, I want to thank the 22 of you who are here for a quorum today as the Senate will do our business this week.”
