When I moved when I bought the house, I bought a new mattress/box springs. Not from Sam’s since I needed it delivered, but at one of the Mattress Firm/Sleep Outfitters/Mattress Wholesale type places. Think I went to American Freight?
Anyway, I still bought the cheapest one! LOL It’s got a dip on both sides on the edge (I do rotate it) but other than that it’s working ok for me. I can’t handle a soft mattress, but it does have a pillowtop.
That being said, I’ve always wanted to try one of those Sleep Number beds, but I’m kinda like, won’t they start leaking air eventually??
I’ve been wondering about the sleep number beds too. Some friends have told me that they love theirs, have had it for 20 years. But for some reason I don’t feel like jumping right in and getting one.
I forgot to ask, do you know what a split queen is? The Marriott has that as an option. A split king makes sense, you could put two twin longs together and it would be the same size. But I don’t know what a split queen is.
Jumping in to mention my Sleep Number Bed.
Got mine around January 2000. Still have it, no problems.
Way back then, my king size set was $650 delivered.
Rush used to do ads for them.
Figured I’d give it a try.
I previously had issues with a brand new mattress (Simmons BeautyRest) and vowed to never buy a traditional mattress again.
I like the adjustability of the Sleep Number Bed.
They cost so much now, it would be difficult to get another one.
But, 20 years and counting....the first one is still great.
