One mark of a fanatic is the ability to create something negative out of something positive.
One mark of a fanatic is the ability to create something negative out of something positive. That certainly marks the approach of CNN yesterday on its home page when noting that the federal government created a brand-new national holiday commemorating Juneteenth, when slaves in Texas first heard that they were freed.
Adam Ford noted the fanaticism on Twitter:
This is CNN's home page right now. Our corporate media wants so badly for us to hate each other. It's really sick. pic.twitter.com/yta3lWoQAF

They should call June 19 “The day a Republican President Freed the Texas Democrat’s Slaves.”
Not all Blacks are happy about Juneteenth, especially since it has been declared as another ‘Independence Day’. I thought we already has an Independence Day on 7/4.
Who still watches CNN?
There has been violence in past years’ juneteenth “celebrations.” So I did a google search for:
juneteenth violence
Just as I thought. google has scrubbed the results and you see only 1 that tells of the violence.
My memory hasn’t been scrubbed.
That is a great poster!
“ They should call June 19 “The day a Republican President Freed the Texas Democrat’s Slaves.”
Take it to the next level. It was Christian white men (the trifecta of evil according to the left) who put an end to slavery. None but. No protests, no marches, no bleating “we shall overcome”, none of it. No Sharpton, no Jackson, just Christian white men. Celebrate them.
What is really ironic about Juneteenth is that slavery was still legal in some Northern states such as Delaware until the 13th Amendment was ratified in Dec of 1865, sic months after June 19.
And blacks even had an earlier “Emancipation Day” now forgotten.
On July 4, 1827—which was then called Emancipation Day by the local black population—all of the city’s African American churches held prayer and thanksgiving services. William Hamilton, trustee of African Zion Church, declared “no more shall the accursed name of slave be attached to us; no more shall Negro and slave be synonymous.”
Thanx for the info and link.
Look at the faces of those men. They are not happy campers, but have been responding to the call to do their duty.
Which right are under assault (besides gun ownership)?
No problems voting.
No problems seeking employment.
There is not a rash of incidence of police officers targeting black men.
BLM and other black activist groups do not have their free speech rights curtailed even when they espouse genocide and incite riots. Not even on social media are they censored.
“The despair is there; now it’s up to us to go in and rub raw the sores of discontent, galvanize them for radical social change.” - Saul D. Alinsky
Amen that’s where the honor belongs.
“Look at the faces of those men.”
They went by the name “men”.
Their pronouns were sir, he, him, his.
They could have any of those weapons for themselves and for their sons, personally, at home.
