In his tomb, Merenptah's cartouche reads, "King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Ba of Ra, Beloved of Amen; Son of Ra, Beloved of Ptah, Satisfied with Truth / Nisut-Bity Ba-en-Ra Mery-Amun Sa-Ra Mery-en-Ptah Hetep-her-Maat".
