That name is mendacious.
I find it (Juneteenth National Independence Day) troubling because just like they want to say 1619, not 1776, is the real foundation of America, they’ll turn next to eliminating Independence Day in favor of this.
They could have named it Emancipation Day. Much more dignified and accurate.
Automatic association with the GOP and reminder of how the Dems worked to oppose it.
The lying name fits with the lying 1619 Project narrative.
