Very few people defect in just one day, like they spontaneously do on TV during a ballet performance. It’s a planned and complex event that happens over a period of time and involves careful contact with officials who first need to be identified and then trusted.

What follows are conversations, negotiations, acquisition of documentation/data, and the logistics of the physical transfer of both the data and personnel. I’d put a lot of money on PDJT having been aware of the information that would be formalized with the actual defection after January 20. If the February defection simply wrapped up the Chinese side of the traitorous activities of the DS/BH, we may be hearing about this now because the military tribunals have been concluded.
