The linked article seemed to say sort of that; how many Chinese students here are from “connected” families? CCP, military, government families? Probably a huge percentage. Maybe you can find out from some familiar with Chinese language whether he has a Taiwan or mainland accent? I would assume there are accents.

Linda, they are all spies. Every last one of them is whether they know it or not. Every Chinese student is in America with permission from the CCP. When they get home, they are debriefed. The debriefing may be creative, but the point remains they are extracting as much info about Americans as possible, and for nefarious purposes. They all need to be sent home.
