His response was ...you want to be right? or do you want to be happy?
Sounds like a great advisor. I was a supervisor in a clean room mfg. plant for 35 years. My saying was very similar.
Do you want to be right, or do you want to be successful. Every time I was in a situation that needed some empathy, or encouragement, I would come back to that philosophy. It served me well.
Currently Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy would be more appropriate for me. I just can’t sit back and go along to get along anymore. I’m not going to start any fights, but I won’t run from them either. So, to make myself happy, I have to fight back. I hope others can understand.
Excuse me, sweetheart, but the fight you currently find yourself in (and are the sole participant in) was started by you. Norsky had beef with ME and you came riding in like Zorro to save the day and make everything right with the world.
All because I chastised you in the past for being a cop hater.
Get over yourself, please (I said please).

I get it. I won’t let people put words in my mouth nor lie about me.
