Just call him the Dippin’ Dots bandit.
According to the Tyler PD, the Polo shirt wearing man pictured here dropped through the ceiling above the Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream inside Broadway Square, 4601 S. Broadway Ave., while the store was closed and grabbed a bag of the frozen treats.
And he did it “all while licking on a sucker!” a post on the department’s Facebook page says.
“Then he shimmied back through the hole and left into the night,” says the PD.
His illegal quest for Dippin’ Dots deliciousness was captured on a security camera.
Those who recognize the man are asked call 903-531-1035 or Tyler-Smith County Crime Stoppers at 903-597-2833. #FindEmFriday#TylerPD
That would make a great commercial!
Theme from The Pink Panther in the background.

I guess this happened in Tyler Texas.
that’s what it says
My daughters loved Dippin Dots as kids. My boys, for whatever reason, not so much. I think they just wanted lager scoop sizes.
Yep, there’s a crime wave in my hometown! What will they do?
You have to be a dip to eat it.
I’ve never had dippin dots
get me a bucket of peach ice cream and a large spoon Stat!
well its none of the Cossacks.
I’d know
whats next? a smash and grab at the smash burger?
I predict a dine and dash at Catfish King.

bairds catfish king? surprised that still exists
Look for man with signs of lots of other obsessions....my amateur Sherlockian guess...
Not sure. I haven’t been back to Tyler in 25 years. ;o)
I wouldn’t cross the room, let alone drop through a ceiling, to eat them
Ok. What pray tell is the point of vanilla flavored dippin' dots. I love vanilla ice-cream. Especially with real vanilla and real cream in the ice-cream. But plain ol' ordinary vanilla dippin' dots. How about chocolate and caramel and almond and blends like that. Or tutti frutti - not that I am a fan of fruit flavored ice-cream.
But vanilla sort of seems to mis the whole point of the dots.
