Thanks for the site-I like the photos...
My favorite Doors tune is actually “Roadhouse Blues”-I became a fan when they were brand new and I was a teen-later, my 1st hubby and I corrupted our cub with their music, among other heavy/hard rock groups...
Once when she she was filling out an application for a Summer job at a nearby LDS/Mormon Camp on the river, there was a question asking what she saw in her work future-being only 16 and not yet a deep thinker, she wrote “The future’s uncertain and the end is always near”. The employer apparently had no sense of humor-but hubby and I thought it was hilarious-today, we would probably be charged with child abuse for exposing her to that music, those sentiments, etc...
Thanks for the earworms(s)-now I’m going to dig out my Doors CD and put it in the truck to listen to on the way to work tomorrow AM...
Crazy but true story.
In 1981, I went to see Blue Oyster Cult at the [former] Cap Center.
We were sitting in the nose bleed section with a bunch of Marines in the row behind us.
BOC did their rocking cover of Roadhouse Blues as an encore and the Marines and I were singing along like crazy.
I wish I’d gone home with them.
:D
