Why would the G-7's plans to add a new tax on businesses bother the Chinese?

A 15% tax will force businesses to:

(1)Surrender 15% of their profits, or (2)Raise prices 15%, or(3) Move their headquarters out of G-7 countries.

According to a CNN report, the G7 leaders aired serious differences over the approach and the disagreements reportedly became so sensitive at one point that all internet was shut off to the room.

US President Joe Biden has reportedly taken a more hawkish stance but some other leaders are wary of the risk of being seen as an outright anti-China bloc.
