What causes me the most concern is, most generators that I’m familiar with run on gas. What happens if the grid gets knocked out entirely, and we can’t GET gas because the pumps need electricity to run?
That’s just it. I’m assuming that most households who are seriously prepping for these 10 days are storing up enough fuel for the duration. Just as they would (and we do) if it were a hurricane or other natural disaster coming.

I only have enough gas for about 2 days. And lots of empty cans my husband won’t let us fill. Grrr.

We’ve had a generator for quite awhile now. It runs on a 1000 gal tank of propane.

It’s my understanding that the “10 days” will be a communication blackout rather than a power grid outage
