Well don’t blame genes. Heavy drinking over time will screw up the bodies insulin mechanisms.
We have a gas grill, but it’s rarely used. Insects here in Florida make outside dining annoying................

Yes, it's upside down. I had a weightlifter/body builder buddy back in the day I met at one of my career stints. He Ate like a saint, Chicken breast boiled or steamed, cantalope, salad no dressing. I actually ate almost identical in my minimalistic batching-it days, before I met him, I was not a foodie, it was to feed the machine, simple and as high performance as possible. Many years hence and the Keto movement adding the non starchy veggies and limited fruits etc etc. I wasn't far off, neither was my friend.

No it doesn’t. It’s been known it doesn’t for 50 years. This is one of those medical old-wives tales that won’t die.
Your body has a mechanism for regulating cholesterol in your blood.
1. If you don’t eat any cholesterol, your body starts making it, and will continue to make it till your blood cholesterol level is at its preferred level.
2. If you eat cholesterol, your body will reduce its production of cholesterol to bring your blood cholesterol level in line.
3. If you eat too much cholesterol, your body will stop making cholesterol and start excreting cholesterol to bring your blood cholesterol to your body’s preferred level.
Ancel Keys, the father of the lipid hypothesis, said this in the 1960’s. It’s not new science.

Most people do not understand that dietary cholesterol does not necessarily give you "high" cholesterol. In fact, in the absence of dietary cholesterol, your body will manufacture its own cholesterol, and not necessarily the good kind.
People who order egg whites thinking they are healthier are denying themselves the most nutritious and tastiest part of the egg for no good reason.

These eggs are ruining my life, is probably a function of everyone telling him his diet was bad for him and would kill him. I can easily eat a dozen eggs a day, and eat at least 3 a day for 28 years.
I would eat a large pepperoni pizza by myself.
And other times I would eat a whole sub. Extra mayo of course.
This is back before everything got small.
