It’s tempting to write a sci-fi story, if I were an author type, and borrow an idea from Ender’s Game - that of technological improvement/space travel on one side as observed on the other. Within that *fictional* framework, visitors would occasionally be sent to observe, very occasionally interact, and stuff. Occasionally, mistakes/malfunctions would happen.

But as time would go on, from the point of view of the ‘backward’ planet bound observees, these apparent odd visitations would eventually increase in frequency, and in apparent technology.

Would there eventually be a reveal? I don’t know. It would depend on what the “observer’s” role is.

But alas, I’m a poor author, and no doubt, the concept has already been hashed over repeatedly. If nothing else, check out Ayreon’s albums/discography.
