We definitely should have done testing and studies on the asymptomatic people from the diamond princess as well as the military people returning from the military sports games in Wuhan. These were two unique groups tied to Covid-19 early on and could have provided a lot of information. Many, if not most, of the people involved would have given informed consent. Instead we just missed that opportunity. I don’t think Trump can be blamed for that.
