I can’t imaging this happening now, except with families too afraid to take a stand and say ‘Enough!!”
All the police had to do was contact the father in a more subtle, dignified manner. There was no need for a swarm of police cars to appear at their new home because of the son’s past record. They could have sent an email and invited the dad for a face to face meeting at the station.
What are their new neighbors supposed to think, seeing all those police on their doorstep? Unforced errors were made.
