The last 2 vehicles I purchased, I did the loan thing through the dealer, got the “5000 back” money, then paid off the loan immediately. So I paid a few dollars in interest, got some Cash back, dealer got to sell a loan, everyone is happy.

I just did that today. Took the 1000 cash to finance @ 1.9%
They can’t stop a payoff but they can get hammered if less than 3 payments are made.
These people were good guys so we’ll make the 3 payments then pay it off.
