Well, we don’t currently have any canine-Americans living with us, so we’re good...for now. We have all felines right now...but then I always did want to live in a cat house. :>)

I caught my female champion Yorkie chowing down on her ... sorry, I’m gagging at the thought, so I can’t even verbalize it lest I lose my dinner. I looked into the nasty habit and learned that females are more likely to do this and that it could be from a lack of sufficient niacin/B1.
A suggested cure is to feed them bananas, apples or pineapples in the event that it’s a nutrition problem. Since I started doing that, I haven’t caught her again, but she might just be sneaking it on the side. I’ve never seen my male Yorkie do it, which is great because he’s the face licker/kisser. What I don’t know won’t make me gag.
