Okay. I did a little research. Apparently, the daughter in law's people call them 'kitty roka'. And my sweet angel DOES enjoy it. We don't have a litter box. We got a go outside all purpose pet door and all them furballs go outside to use the facilities.

But apparently, wee Maggie is known to munch down on kitty roka from time to time. So unladylike.

And she's the one that gives me kisses on the lips (no tongues)! Ziggy is the tongue master. No word on his culinary choices.

I think we will re-evaluate the nature of our relationship, in light of this new and horrifying information.

I think the take away is that deer have had about a year of time with out 188% of the traditional traffic. More will be hit. Careful out there vaxxed travelers. Be mindful of the blind birds too. 🐦

I caught my female champion Yorkie chowing down on her ... sorry, I’m gagging at the thought, so I can’t even verbalize it lest I lose my dinner. I looked into the nasty habit and learned that females are more likely to do this and that it could be from a lack of sufficient niacin/B1.

A suggested cure is to feed them bananas, apples or pineapples in the event that it’s a nutrition problem. Since I started doing that, I haven’t caught her again, but she might just be sneaking it on the side. I’ve never seen my male Yorkie do it, which is great because he’s the face licker/kisser. What I don’t know won’t make me gag.
