I mean that that sort of quote gets legs in a science fiction movie, but in real life such an outlandish claim is immediately met with “show me”.
And it didn’t take long, in this thread, for folks to post links that make a strong case that he never said it. And I tend to believe those sites for one simple reason: Project yourself ahead two years. Imagine that it is actually true. How would those high profile people that promoted vaccinations (but didn’t get them) fare in such a world? I’m just using one tiny example.
I basically fall back on “extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence”. We don’t even have a “bad lipreading” video of him saying it. We have a claim, that has been flatly denied.
So, it’s impossible to take seriously, even if it turns out to be true. But if it is true, it will be taken very seriously when it actually happens.
