I read a science article about these Walmart cameras/AI software. It said that they had facial recognition capability and could read the stress lines on faces and determine from those lines whether a person had or was going to steal something.
I was hoping for a "Star Trek" kind of future. Not "Minority Report."
But can their AI tell the difference between the stress lines caused by someone about to steal something and the stress lines caused by being so aggravated that the person is just going to leave their cart full of stuff in front of the checkout line and just walk out of the store?
