Thank you, Bob - I’ve only had the X-ray. Insurers insist that be the only test until there’s evidence to support something more useful like an MRI.

I’m getting PT from a good hands-on PT woman that seems to enjoy inflicting pain on me (and oddly, I seem to enjoy her doing so also). She’s really good, excellent understanding of the physiology involved.

Yes, most insurance today will settle for an x-ray and if injury is evident will require PT before approving an MRI. PT can turn the tables often, but usually only for a period of time. It can be a frustrating process when there is considerable discomfort.

Some people find relief through a chiropractor.
