Lapid struck the note for lowering the temperature between the Jews and the Arabs, who have shown willing to “sit together”.
I never understood what was behind Netanyahu’s popularity gaps at home. He was understood in the West, very charismatic, but his critics in the homeland were not often heard and never covered with much depth, here. Maybe never covered at all.
Maybe he was more divisive at home and held controversy, or fear, as a gainful political tool.
Idk what is true, but found him charming and always easy to agree with.
