Fact FWIW, I drilled a well in W. Texas once down to 25,000’. Guess what? It’s HOT down there! Bottom hole temp was >180-200 deg. F.

Lots of clean burning sweet natural gas down there! I landed the production casing @25,012’ for Sun Gas in 1981 near Mentone, TX.
