Brokaw’s Greatest Generation was really about WW2 vets and how they survive the depression only to go to war.
1928 is a 17-year-old at the end of the war in 1945 too young for the war...what part of the depression does he remember? it started the year after he’s born.
My dad was born in 1926 and was a drafted WW2 combat vet...1944-1946 - he was 19 at the end of the war.
His younger brother was born in 1941 - not a boomer not the greatest generation
