It’s interesting. Not proof, but interesting. Still, I’m skeptical. Even if his life’s mission was to avenge his father’s death, how would faking his death help in that pursuit?

Agreed. How would it have helped him to be thought to have faked his own death, remained in hiding without participating in politics? I’ve never seen the strategic benefit of that strategy. The public knows he’s dead, but wait! He’s running for office!
Had he not been killed, his power was his intellect and leadership which he could use to build the will of the people for him to be president. Intelligent leadership doesn’t hide out for 21+ years and expect the public to follow your lead when you spring forth and tell them they mourned your death for no reason.
