I been thinkin...seems when the RATS pass anything that’s iffy, they also pass a resolution saying their actions were constitutional...basically saying their poop doesn’t stink.
Repubs don’t have the guts to challenge anything...House passes 2nd impeachment, Roberts won’t preside over the trial because the President is no longer in office, yet the senate didn’t object or try and stop the trial. Nothing in the senate impeachment rules says they have to accept the Article(s) Of Impeachment.
Article 1, Sec. 2
...The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.
Article 1 Sec. 3
...The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.
so, re: Article 1, Sec. 2 - should the Repubs take over the House in 2022, having the sole power of impeachment, could they pass a resolution that “recalls” or withdraws articles of impeachment? The House giveth, can the House taketh away? (This was the 2nd impeachment(Pres. Clinton the first) that spanned different congresses, so the House shouldn’t be bound by any sunset)
The Senate rules III. show that.. they first “proceed to the consideration of such articles,”...
I reckon (my wife is not too fond of my reckoning, either) the Senate should be able to reject the articles according to their own rules...

I completely agree. Creeps like Adam Kinzinger vote for impeachment {WHICH WAS NOT IMPEACHMENT} and now vote for Nazi Pelosi's Jan 6 commission - admitting that the conclusion has already been written: Donald Trump fomented insurrection on the U.S, Capitol! It is impossible to see how the GOP {WHIG's} can do anything to stop the overthrow of our Constitutional Republic. As stated in the linked article, too many of the elite have sold out to the Chinese, for whatever reason.
Perhaps the above linked commentary holds some promise, looking towards state governors like Ron DeSantis of Florida.
