I’ve had McDougals twice in 3 years and I don’t miss it. If you walk in you have to wait while they serve the drive through with high priority and when you drive through you get extra large fries halfway full.

We used to only eat there when traveling. But now the app offers such cheap deals we ate there 15 times in April — for $15 + tax, total. My wife got a cheeseburger for $1. I got a free double cheeseburger or free crispy chicken with $1 purchase. We customize with the app: no onions for my wife, extra onions and no pickles for me with extra salt if we’ve been biking. We normally feed the bottom bun to critters.

I have noticed dramatic quality differences. Sometimes the burgers are overcooked. And often the simple orders have errors. Restaurants have a hard time finding good staff, especially, I suppose, McDonalds. Last night my DCB had no onions and extra pickles.
