Seen a study that compared Nitric Oxide levels to D levels and showed a high level of reduced covid infection caused by the NO levels- which were subject to the D levels.

A friend of mine spent over a month hospitalized with Covid. He was admitted with low blood oxygen, but got progressively worse over time and died shortly after his kidneys gave up from AKI.

Apparently organ damage from Covid can be a result of cytokine storm, which I believe is the same as the "hyperactivation of macrophages" mentioned in the nih paper on Vitamin D.

It will be sad if Vitamin D given to help his immune system instead caused a cytokine storm. Just a guess on my part. There's a lot that still isn't known about the way that this disease behaves.
