It’s like the small talk in life - occasionally annoying but a necessary part of polite life. Like the “in” posts at the beginning of a new thread, it’s often just people checking in or saying something nice to another poster so they know someone else read and approved of or enjoyed their post.
I ain’t complaining, just sayin’. I’m sure I contribute my own share of fluff as well.
