I had read thar our guys were doing an exercise “over there”, with Poland. This report made a question whether Highjackers would be motivated to pull off such an attack, *Because* it was an Exercise, or, “In Spite” of it.
I think your reports sound more realistic than the initial “police frequency” received.

You caught my interest with a hijacking story; I’m old enough to remember the rash of airplane hijackings in the 1970s-1990s (some in the 1960s but not like the following decades). When I looked for an update I was bewildered to find only the article that I linked, so did a little bit more digging.
There’s been relatively few hijackings since 9/11 so I’m surprised they used this scenario for training. But I guess when you’re training for all possibilities, you train for all possibilities. LOL
My dad was in the service and did training in Saudi Arabia back in the 1960s so the military does do a lot of training all over the world and with all sorts of different forces, both here and abroad. Still, intriguing story.
