So I saw this article this morning. What it implies to me is that even (on the off chance) that there are any lingering charges that might have come out of Durham's investigation this new DOJ chief council will ensure they are dumped into the toilet and flushed.

DOJ’s Top National Security Lawyer Slammed Investigation Into Government Wrongdoing in Surveillance of Trump Aide

Though an investigation found that the U.S. government abused the surveillance system to target a Trump aide, the Department of Justice's latest hire slammed a probe into the origins of that wrongdoing as "partisan silliness."

In a now-deleted tweet, Susan Hennessey, who was appointed on Monday as general counsel of the Justice Department's national security division, criticized special counsel John Durham's attempts to determine whether U.S. intelligence agencies improperly surveilled Donald Trump's presidential campaign when trying to identify Russian interference in the 2016 election. The national security division handles espionage and foreign-agent investigations.

This is "as expected" at this point. Was there ever a bigger disapointment than John Durham? (Huber? Sessions??)

It's interesting to look back at The Method they used so successfully to lul Trump supporters into less outrage than was deserved: move the date out, move the date out, move the date out. Amazingly, even when he announced his retirement the gullible pundits were still claiming that this doesn't include his investigation into Russia-gate.

For instance: here is the article from The Blaze about Durham retiring:

Breaking: Special counsel John Durham abruptly announces his resignation from the US Attorney's office

Durham released an official announcement saying he would resign effective at midnight Sunday.

John Durham: Nothing to Show for his supposed "investigation". What a con job!

"My career has been as fulfilling as I could ever have imagined when I graduated from law school way back in 1975," Durham said in the statement.

While Durham will resign from the office, he will reportedly continue in his work investigating whether the FBI's operation to uncover Russian collusion with the Trump campaign was politically motivated. Former President Trump has claimed that the probe named "Crossfire Hurricane" was an improper and illegal abuse of power by former President Barack Obama to target his political opponents.

Yeah, that was February 26. Even when it was completely obvious We've been trained to wait patiently, and then just sort of suck it up when nothing happens.

We were played like a slide guitar. (I was, I admit it.)

So the DOJ derp puppet's comments on the Durham investigation are a reflection on Durham? How does that work.

He retired his DOJ position, but not his 'Special Counsel' position. The investigation is ongoing.

I expect that when the Durham investigation is laid out, it will be so devastating and undeniable that no amount of DOJ political derpishness will be able to shut it down.

And perhaps, due to the nature of the massive amount of treasonous and foreign involved charges, he will turn over his findings and recommendations to the military, rather than the obviously corrupt DOJ.

They cannot investigate or charge themselves. Well, they could if they were ethical, but they're not so they won't.

You gave up too soon, Vlad the Surrender Monkey.

You may now join the gimps beyond the trees.
