Friend was dumbfounded, loves his dad, had no idea this was coming, and called my husband in despair. He doesn’t know how to respond to this low blow. This is a very smart guy who had fully done his homework, has well organized data to support his decision, who wants no part of the jabs. So these things do tear families apart, and from both directions. Sigh.

That’s crazy. I’d tell my dad the ball was in his court. That I wanted a relationship with him and hope he changes his mind. That my door is always open.
My son and I were talking about this last summer. His inlaws, my grandchildren’s other grandparents are that way. When my son brought the two older boys out last summer, they could go see them as long as they kept 20’ apart lol.
What was funny, was I bought all these clothes, paid for swimming lessons, all this swimming stuff, took them where we could.. and the other grandpa LITERALLY through them $20 bills wrapped around rocks. And that was the big hit of the summer🙄🤨🤦🏻♀️
