Thank you, Bagster. That’s what I’ve been thinking throughout my pushback of all things covid but I didn’t express it as well as you did. I’m tired of being nice to the people who are demanding I give up every freedom. I’ve wrestled with the idea that I have to “be the better person” and “not stoop to their rude level”. I agree with you that that’s exactly how we got to this point ... no pushback, turning the other cheek, trying to kill them with kindness, rising above it all, rejecting the eye for an eye response. All of that makes us look weak and willing to take whatever crap they throw at us. I’m a Canadian and we’re sort of known for our politeness, but I’m done with it. Your wonderful President Trump has shown us that we need to be more fierce than we’ve ever been because our most basic freedoms are on the line. It’s an uncomfortable attitude for many to adopt but it’s now a necessary one. We can go back to being sweet and passive when we’ve won the war.
“ We can go back to being sweet and passive when we’ve won the war.”
Indeed. I stRuck a small blow yesterday while walking with my wife. Masked woman (mask over her chin but not nose) was walking her dog and it stopped to take a dump, as dogs do. She looked at us sheepishly and bleated “wouldn’t you know, and today I forgot a bag”.
I suggested she use her mask. Didn’t stick around to see if she did, but my wife sure laughed.
Not sure it’s much of a blow, but it was sure fun!
“Not stooping to their level” etc is complicity and cowardace disguised as moral superiority.
Repukes have been either criminals along with Dems or eunuchs. Taking the country to the same commie hell location but more politely and at 45 mph instead of 90 mph.
