The owner of the home said she was renting her residence to a group of four people who said they were from Colorado, and she had told them they were not allowed to have parties.
After neighbors complained about the noise, the homeowner checked her security cameras and saw dozens of people inside of her home.
The Sheriff’s Department assisted with the closure of PCH to ensure that resources could reach the residence, Haralson said.

From the video, it looks like the deck was just above the shoreline. I wouldn’t be surprised if salt spray dissolved the joist hangers. Unless the used stainless steel hangers and nails, the salt air will corrode them.

This may be another (mis) adventure in Airbnd.
I’ll never understand people who will rent their property to perfect strangers, then get ‘outraged’ when they leave a mess or break some rules.
And then a lawyer because I'm sure there will be lawsuits galore.

Those Houses have been there for years.
The outside shot of that Deck before the collapse make it look like it was original the House. The exterior upkeep for that House was lacking.
That Deck should have been able to support much more weight than those 15 Partygoers.
