Tawny Kitaen, the actress and model best known for starring in Whitesnake’s iconic music video for “Here I Go Again,” has died. She was 59-years-old.
Variety reports that Kitaen died at her home in Newport Beach, CA yesterday, Friday, May 7. No cause of death has been revealed.
Kitaen’s music video debut came in RATT’s 198x clip, “Back for More.” She went on to appear not only in Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” video, but several of the band’s other clips as well, including “Still of the Night,” “Is This Love” and “The Deeper the Love.” She was also married to Whitesnake singer David Coverdale from 1989 to 1991.
As an actress, Kitaen played Tom Hanks’ girlfriend in the 1984 comedy Bachelor Party and appeared in the Seinfeld episode “The Nose Job.”
Kitaen also appeared on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2009.

So much HAIR!
From Rolling Stone’s article reporting Kitaen’s death:
“Prior to the Whitesnake videos, Kitaen was photographed for the cover of Ratt’s 1984 debut album Out of the Cellar and appeared in the video for the band’s song “Back for More.” Kitaen dated Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby, who died in 2002.”
... and then some
Daughter of Racheal Welch. rip
That’s what I thought, but no. Raquel’s daughter if Tahnee Welch. I looked it up.
I heard Barbara Eden say she lived on Twinkies, but she had a huge hill behind her house, and to keep her figure, she climbed up a down it for exercise, every day.
Interesting that the article mentions nothing of her dating Robbin Crosby of Ratt long before David Coverdale came along. Not only was she in the video of "Back For More", but she also appeared on the cover of their self-titled EP and Out of the Cellar.
Crosby is gone, too - he died of an overdose around 2005 or so.
It is with a sad heart to hear about another passing in the RATT family. Our dear friend, Tawny Kitaen. Tawny was an integral part of RATT history and a beloved friend to me whom I met through Robbin Crosby in San Diego around 1977. They had an apartment down the street from my grandmother, I would hang out and she'd have to sit and hear us play for hours and hours where Robbin & I played music and wrote songs that would end up on future RATT albums. She & Robbin were a beautiful beach loving teenage couple and when Robbin moved to L.A. with his band Mac Meda (before Ratt)she followed and they both shot for the moon and reached for the stars. Tawny modeled as our cover model for both our EP and Out of the Cellar, as well as our video, Back for More. She left a legacy to be proud of and forever left her imprint on the Decade of Decadence as an 80's icon.
Say hello to Robbin for me my friend

Yep, I remember her. Another one was Kitten Natividad. Don’t know if she is with us. Just checked, still kicking.
THAT is too funny. Maybe it’s the preservatives (in the Twinkies!).
Well, I guess it works, for her, if she’s 89 and still moving and groving :-)
And, as I said, she looks great, for 89.
Here's Tawny in Back For More.
Well, you said RECENTLY....so, for all I know (because....NO, I don’t NOW, and never have, kept up with anything Muppets) it was a recent movie/episode.
So, I’ll take your *math* and raise it with pairs of *rude* and *unclear*.
Oh, and, Raquel has looked great up until the past five years, or so.
The latest pic I saw of her is when I did detect a muppet look.
I meant that I had done some math, not that you should. The Muppet Show from the 70s is streaming.
X I donated a 20 in your honour my good buddy.....I confess to not knowing what a close shot it was for Ray. They shouldn’t have had him in the open. Murder is wrong but man the myth just continues picking up steam as we go....from that blood Jesse Jackson made sure to wipe on his shirt for photos we’ve now got oceans of race bait propaganda blood metaphorically to swim in daily.....as it drowns a once fine civilization...this iof course is lost on the sheep I saw coming and going...white liberals and blacks....90% blacks....no Asians or Hispanics.....anyhow....off to ribs and sweet tea.......then home....the serenity here for progressives ...man King was pretty muted by today’s standards....that comes to my mind
It’s completely within your right to prefer your kids do ....
But it isn’t your life choice, so how is it? But it’s not up to you, it’s up to your kids.
Ah, got it. Well, again, I don’t keep up w/Muppets.
Thx
Strawman but nice try
